Bert's Bar

Owner of the popular Bert’s Bar located in Barbados and the Canadian Ice Hockey team Senators has been charged by regulators in Canada for accounting fraud. Melnyk and three executives of the company Biovail Corporation have been charged for misleading investors about the pharmaceutical company’s financial results. It is no secret that Eugene Melnyk has made Barbados is home. No doubt one of the attractive characteristics of Barbados can be seen in a billionaire living in Barbados comfortable in being sequestered from the limelight.

We know that Mr. Melnyk is ‘loaded’ and will no doubt have the best lawyers available to represent him.

Well, well, well. First it was the doped race horse. Then it was the insider trading, now it is fraud. The more they have the more they want. Thieves and rascals all.

His younger brother died last year. I felt sad for him at the time, but now, no sympathy. I hope they get the goods on him.

It seems the school in Barbados were not good enough for his children, so he opened his own. In this way, they dont rub shoulders with the average local, but the so-called elite. I am surprised he did not put them in a boarding school in Canada, like Lakehead or Upper Canada College, or even Ashbury College, homes for the well-heeled.
